The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) offers a Certificate in Veterinary Laboratory Technology Course. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to work in a veterinary laboratory. The course covers topics such as veterinary anatomy, physiology, pathology, parasitology, bacteriology, virology, mycology, and immunology. It also covers laboratory techniques such as sample collection, preparation, and analysis.

The course is divided into three semesters. During the first semester, students learn about the fundamentals of veterinary laboratory technology. They also learn about the principles of laboratory safety and the use of laboratory equipment. In the second semester, students learn about the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in animals. They also learn about the principles of laboratory management and the use of laboratory information systems. Finally, in the third semester, students learn about the principles of laboratory research and the application of laboratory techniques in veterinary practice.

The course also includes practical training in the laboratory. Students are given the opportunity to work with laboratory animals and to practice laboratory techniques. They also learn about the ethical and legal aspects of laboratory work.

Upon successful completion of the course, students are awarded a Certificate in Veterinary Laboratory Technology. This certificate is recognized by the Veterinary Council of India and is accepted by employers in the veterinary field. The certificate is also accepted by universities and colleges for admission into higher degree programs.
