The program is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become a successful assistant nurse and midwife. The curriculum includes topics such as anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, nutrition, and health promotion. Students will also learn about the legal and ethical aspects of nursing and midwifery, as well as the fundamentals of patient care. In addition, the program covers topics such as communication, leadership, and management.
The program also includes a clinical component, which allows students to gain hands-on experience in the field. During the clinical component, students will be able to observe and participate in a variety of clinical settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes, and community health centers. Students will also have the opportunity to work with patients and gain an understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of a nurse and midwife.
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This exam is required for licensure as a registered nurse in the United States. Upon successful completion of the NCLEX-RN, students will be awarded a diploma in Assistant Nursing & Midwifery from SRM University.
