The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) offers a Certificate in MRI Technician Course. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful MRI Technician. The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the principles of MRI technology, the operation of MRI equipment, and the safety protocols associated with MRI scanning. The course also covers topics such as patient preparation, patient positioning, and the use of contrast agents.

The course is divided into two parts. The first part consists of a theoretical component which covers topics such as the physics of MRI, the operation of MRI equipment, and the safety protocols associated with MRI scanning. The second part consists of a practical component which includes hands-on training in the operation of MRI equipment and the use of contrast agents. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the MRI Technician Certification Exam. This exam is administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Successful completion of the exam will allow students to become certified MRI Technicians.
