Manipal University offers a Diploma in Veterinary Science, a three-year full-time course. This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of veterinary science and its related fields. It covers topics such as animal anatomy and physiology, animal nutrition, animal husbandry, animal health and disease, veterinary pharmacology, veterinary pathology, veterinary parasitology, veterinary microbiology, veterinary surgery, and veterinary public health. The course also includes practical training in the laboratory and in the field.

The course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to diagnose and treat animals, as well as to provide preventive care. Students will gain an understanding of the principles of animal health and welfare, and the ethical and legal aspects of veterinary practice. They will also learn about the principles of animal nutrition, animal husbandry, and animal reproduction.

The course is open to students who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream. The course also includes a six-month internship in a veterinary hospital or clinic. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to register with the Veterinary Council of India and practice as a veterinary doctor.
