The course covers topics such as patient care, medical terminology, medical ethics, patient safety, infection control, medical record keeping, and medical billing. Students will also learn about the different types of medical equipment and how to use them correctly. In addition, students will be taught how to provide emotional support to patients and their families.
The course also includes practical training in the form of clinical placements in hospitals and healthcare settings. This will give students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a diploma in General Duty Assistant.
The course is open to all students who have completed their 10+2 or equivalent. The duration of the course is two years and it is offered in both full-time and part-time modes. The course is designed to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a successful GDA.
