KNRUHS Certificate in Ophthalmic Assistant Course 2023

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) Certificate in Ophthalmic Assistant Course is a one-year program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become an ophthalmic assistant. The course covers topics such as anatomy and physiology of the eye, ocular diseases, ophthalmic instruments, and ophthalmic pharmacology. Students will also learn about the principles of optics, contact lenses, and ophthalmic surgery. Upon completion of the program, students will be able to assist ophthalmologists in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.

The program consists of both theoretical and practical components. Students will learn about the anatomy and physiology of the eye, ocular diseases, ophthalmic instruments, and ophthalmic pharmacology through lectures, seminars, and laboratory sessions. They will also gain hands-on experience in the use of ophthalmic instruments and contact lenses. In addition, students will be required to complete a clinical internship in an ophthalmology clinic. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded a Certificate in Ophthalmic Assistant from KNRUHS.
