Kalinga University Certificate in Dental Assistant course is a one-year program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful dental assistant. The program is divided into four semesters, each focusing on a different aspect of dental assisting. The first semester focuses on the basics of dental assisting, such as infection control, dental anatomy, and dental materials. The second semester focuses on dental office management, including scheduling, billing, and insurance processing. The third semester focuses on dental laboratory procedures, such as taking impressions, fabricating crowns, and making dentures. The fourth semester focuses on clinical dental assisting, including chairside assisting, taking x-rays, and assisting with dental procedures. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and become certified dental assistants.
