The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Certificate in Community Health Worker course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to become effective community health workers. The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the principles of public health, health promotion, and health education, as well as the skills to effectively assess and respond to the health needs of individuals and communities. The course covers topics such as health promotion, health education, health communication, health policy, health advocacy, and health service delivery. It also provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience through fieldwork and internships. The course is offered in both online and in-person formats, and students can complete the program in as little as one year. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Community Health Worker Certification Exam. This certification will allow them to work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health centers.
