Jagannath University offers a Diploma in Veterinary course programme for those interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. The programme is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of veterinary science and the skills necessary to practice as a veterinarian. The course covers topics such as animal anatomy and physiology, animal nutrition, animal health and welfare, veterinary pharmacology, veterinary pathology, veterinary surgery, and veterinary public health. Students will also learn about animal behaviour, animal husbandry, and animal reproduction.

The programme is divided into two parts: the first part is a theoretical component which covers the fundamentals of veterinary science, while the second part is a practical component which involves hands-on experience in the field. During the practical component, students will gain experience in the clinical setting, as well as in the laboratory. This will enable them to develop the skills necessary to diagnose and treat animals.

The programme also includes a research project, which allows students to develop their own research project and present their findings to the faculty. Upon completion of the programme, students will be awarded a Diploma in Veterinary Medicine from Jagannath University. This diploma will provide them with the necessary qualifications to practice as a veterinarian.
