Jagannath University offers a Certificate in General Duty Assistance to students who wish to pursue a career in the healthcare industry. The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful General Duty Assistant. The program is divided into two parts: the first part focuses on the fundamentals of healthcare, such as anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology; and the second part focuses on the practical aspects of providing general duty assistance, such as patient care, medical record keeping, and communication.

The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare industry and the role of a General Duty Assistant. Students will learn how to provide quality patient care, how to maintain medical records, and how to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals. In addition, students will gain an understanding of the legal and ethical considerations associated with providing healthcare services.

Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for General Duty Assistants (NCLEX-GDA). This exam is required for licensure in most states and is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
