The IES University Certificate in Orthopaedic and Plaster Assistant course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful Orthopaedic and Plaster Assistant. The course is designed to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and management of orthopaedic and plaster related conditions. The course is divided into three modules, each focusing on a different aspect of orthopaedic and plaster care. The first module covers the anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system, the second module covers the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic and plaster related conditions, and the third module covers the application and removal of plaster casts. The course also includes a practical component, where students will learn how to apply and remove plaster casts, as well as how to assess and manage orthopaedic and plaster related conditions. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a Certificate in Orthopaedic and Plaster Assistant from the IES University. This certificate will provide students with the necessary qualifications to work as an Orthopaedic and Plaster Assistant in a variety of healthcare settings.
