Guru Nanak Dev University Certificate in Ophthalmic Assistant Course 2023
The course is divided into two parts. The first part covers the fundamentals of ophthalmology, including anatomy and physiology of the eye, diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic diseases, and the use of ophthalmic instruments and equipment. The second part covers the principles of ophthalmic optics, contact lens fitting, and the use of ophthalmic drugs.
The course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful ophthalmic assistant. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to assist ophthalmologists in the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic diseases, as well as the fitting and dispensing of contact lenses. The course also provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience through clinical placements.
