Doon University offers a Certificate in Medical Lab Technology (CMLT) course. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful medical laboratory technician. The course is of one year duration and is divided into two semesters. The course covers topics such as laboratory techniques, medical terminology, laboratory safety, quality assurance, and laboratory management.

The course also includes practical training in laboratory techniques such as hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, and immunology. Students are also taught to use laboratory equipment and instruments, and to interpret laboratory results. In addition, the course provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

The course also includes lectures on medical ethics, legal issues, and professional development. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to take the National Certification Examination for Medical Laboratory Technicians. This certification is recognized by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

The course is open to students from all backgrounds and is suitable for those who wish to pursue a career in medical laboratory technology.
