Christian Medical College Vellore Certificate in Rural Health Care is a one-year certificate program designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to provide quality healthcare in rural areas. The program focuses on providing comprehensive healthcare services to rural populations, including preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative services. It also provides training in public health, community health, and primary healthcare. The program is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills to identify and address the health needs of rural populations, and to develop and implement appropriate health interventions.

The program is divided into two semesters, each of which consists of a combination of lectures, practical sessions, and field visits. During the first semester, students are exposed to the principles of public health, community health, and primary healthcare. They also learn about the epidemiology of rural health, and the various health services available in rural areas. During the second semester, students gain practical experience in the field, and learn about the management of rural health services.
