The course is divided into two semesters. During the first semester, students learn about the fundamentals of pediatric nursing, including anatomy and physiology, nutrition, growth and development, and family dynamics. They also learn about the management of common childhood illnesses, such as asthma, allergies, and diabetes. The second semester focuses on the promotion of health and safety, including immunization, injury prevention, and environmental health.
The course also includes a clinical component, which provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting. The Certificate in Child Care Nursing Course is designed to prepare students for a career in pediatric nursing.
