KIIT University offers a Diploma in Community Medical Service and Essential Drug course. This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide medical services to communities in need. The course covers topics such as public health, epidemiology, health promotion, health economics, health policy, and health services management. It also covers the use of essential drugs in the management of common diseases. The course is divided into two semesters, each of which is of three months duration. During the first semester, students learn about the principles of public health, epidemiology, health promotion, health economics, health policy, and health services management. They also learn about the use of essential drugs in the management of common diseases. In the second semester, students learn about the use of essential drugs in the management of specific diseases, such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and other infectious diseases. They also learn about the use of essential drugs in the management of non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. The course also covers the use of essential drugs in the management of mental health disorders. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to provide medical services to communities in need.
