Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University’s Diploma in Community Medical Service and Essential Drug course is a two-year diploma program that provides students with the knowledge and skills to provide essential medical services and drugs to the community. The course covers topics such as community health, epidemiology, public health, health promotion, health economics, health administration, and health policy. It also provides students with the opportunity to gain practical experience through field visits, internships, and project work. The course also includes a comprehensive examination at the end of the two-year period. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to apply for a license to practice as a community medical service provider.
