Jagannath University Diploma in Assistant Nursing & Midwifery course is a three-year full-time program that provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become a successful nurse and midwife. The course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the nursing and midwifery profession, including the principles of patient care, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, and health promotion. The course also covers the legal and ethical aspects of nursing and midwifery, as well as the management of patient care.

The course is divided into three parts: the first year focuses on the fundamentals of nursing and midwifery, the second year focuses on the clinical aspects of nursing and midwifery, and the third year focuses on the management of patient care. During the course, students will be exposed to a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and community health centers. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in clinical placements, which will provide them with hands-on experience in the field.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the Nursing and Midwifery Council of India (NMCI) examination and become a Registered Nurse and Midwife. This qualification will enable them to practice nursing and midwifery in India and abroad.
