The Diploma in Assistant Nursing & Midwifery course offered by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) is a two-year program designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful assistant nurse and midwife. The course covers a wide range of topics related to nursing and midwifery, including anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, nutrition, medical-surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynecology, and community health. The program also includes clinical rotations in various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.

The course is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality care to patients. Students will learn how to assess and monitor patient health, administer medications, provide patient education and counseling, and assist with medical procedures. They will also learn how to work with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and pharmacists, to ensure the best possible care for their patients.

In addition to the classroom instruction, students will also participate in clinical rotations in various healthcare settings. During these rotations, students will gain hands-on experience in providing patient care. They will also learn how to use medical equipment, such as stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs, and how to document patient information.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses. This exam is required for licensure as a registered nurse in the United States. With a diploma in assistant nursing & midwifery from KIIT, students will be well-prepared to enter the nursing profession and provide quality care to their patients.
